This week had a really funny picture that was just begging to be captioned. There were some great captions, but one really stood out to me. It could partly be because it had to do with my sister Sadie.

Mother's Day
Today is Mother's Day and I thinking about both my birth mom and my adoptive mom. I love them both very much for everything they have done for me and I can't thank them enough.
I will first talk about my birth mom Lucy. She gave me and my 2 sisters and 5 brothers life and, for that, I am so greatful. She cared for my needs and fed me when I was hungry. I wish I had known her longer, but her life ended shortly after I turned a year old. She was pregnant with her 2nd litter and was about a week away from her due date. She escaped out of her yard and got into the neighbor's pool while the pool cover was still on it. She tried to get out but couldn't because of the pool cover. I never got a chance to see her again before she passed and I would give anything to meet and play with her. I have always and will always love her.
I love my adoptive mommy just as much. There are two puppies available when Mommy came to see us for the first time. She got to spend some time with me and my brother to see which one she wanted. My brother just wanted to play with the other puppies while I just wanted her attention and love. I sat on and fell asleep in her lap. It was love at first sight and both of us knew we were meant to be together. I was a member of the family from day one. She has been there for me though it all. From surgeries to allergy attacks and everything in between. It's also not easy to live with me when I eat something that doesn't agree with me and pass gas so strong that it could knock an elephant out, but Mommy does because she knows I can't really help it. I hope to have many more years together and even more new adventures.
Here's to the future Mom! I love you so much!

Photo Caption Friday!
This week was so good and I am so glad to have such AWESOME fans that give such good captions. This week had so many good caption ideas and it was hard to pick just one. There were two that I really liked and I found that both went really well together. I decided to use them both, so that means there are two winning captions.
Here it is!

The Book Store
The local book store is one of my favorite places to go. They love seeing me and Sadie and we love meeting new people. Well, Sadie isn't too much of a new person kind of dog but she did really good this day. We are really good at laying down on the floor while Mommy checks out the books.
This was before Mommy took my Doggles off. I really don't like wearing them inside. What are the Doggles going to do in a book store anyway.....protect me from getting poked in the eyes with a book? Hahaha!
Let's not forget about Sadie! After all, she went to the book store too and she is Rockin' her Doggles.

A Trip to the Garden Store
Mommy loves making a vegetable garden every year and I love helping. Saturday, Mommy, her boyfriend, Sadie, and I went out around the town for about 4 hours. It was so much fun and we all had a great time visiting many shops, like the pet store, Barnes & Noble, Office Max, and more. That was all great but my favorite store was Molbak's Garden + Home. It's mostly a garden store and has many, many, many flowers. I could have stayed there all day and smelled every single flower, but soon we had to leave to go home.
These were taken after we first got Molbak's and I am looking awesome in my Doggles
What are those above my head?
Look at all the beautiful flowers!
Can we take one home Mommy?
It was really hard to resist trying not to look at these frogs
Stopping to smell the flowers
I can't wait to go again!

Photo Caption Friday!
This week was a great one for captions! There were so many wonderful suggestions, but there can only be one winner.
Before I show the winning caption, I would like to add a little twist to the Caption It. Many of you know that my sister Sadie was adopted from an animal rescue, so animal shelters and rescues are very near and dear to my heart. I wanted to do something that would help all those animals waiting for their forever homes. So, here is what I will do. I will donate a quarter (or 25 cents) for every caption suggestion received. At the end of 3 months, or a quarter of the year, I , Oscar the Boston Terrier, will personally give the money to a shelter. I want to give back and this is a very good way to do it!
Now, to the picture and caption!

Treat Stacking
I am very good at listening to Mommy when she tells me to do something. I do have on little question though......Is there such a thing as TOO MUCH OBEDIENCE? I mean, one of my tricks is to hold a treat on my nose. Sometimes Mommy likes to see how many treats she can stack on my short nose/round head. The most I ever held was 12 but that was really hard to do. In this post I will just show you three Milkbones being stacked on my nose one at a time.
First Mommy starts with one Milkbone. This is easy because it's only one bone.
Then, Mommy adds a second Milkbone. Still easy but getting a little harder.
Last, the third Milkbone is placed on top. Three is the most I can hold on my actual nose. After three, Mommy has to start putting the treats on my head. One wrong move could sent the bones falling to the floor.
I don't know any other Boston Terrier that can hold more than one treat without drooling.
